Call for Papers for 2019 Annual CTA Conference

November 1, 2018 – The Colorado Interpreters & Translators Association has officially opened the call for papers for its 9th Annual CTA Conference, to be held April 26 to 28, 2019 at the scenic National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado.

We are inviting speakers to submit proposals for individual and co-presentations, in-depth workshops, or panels. This year for the first time, we are also accepting proposals for 20-minute TED-style sessions. We welcome presentations across a broad range of topics related to translation, editing, localization, CAT tools training, interpreting, and freelancing in general. Potential topics should be relevant to translators and interpreters of various backgrounds, from novices to seasoned professionals.

The Colorado Interpreters & Translators Association started hosting its own annual conference for translators and interpreters in 2010. Since then, the conference has grown into one of the premier CPD events for language professionals from the United States and beyond, drawing some of the most accomplished speakers of the industry. In 2018, the conference attracted 85 attendees on Saturday and 50 on Sunday.
