We are wrapping up our series of interviews with the candidates for the 2014-2016 CTA Board with Mery Molenaar, our current CTA treasurer, who has agreed to serve another term if elected. Mery was born and raised in the Netherlands and moved to the U.S. in 1993. She has been a freelance English to Dutch translator since 2008, working mainly in the fields of medical instrumentation, software localization and eLearning.

Robert has been a full-time freelancer for more than 20 years. He translates from Catalan, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish into English, specializing in business, law and technical translations.

Jim McMillan is running for the position of vice president in the election for the 2014-2016 CTA Board. Jim is an ATA-certified Spanish into English translator and interpreter specializing in legal, business and international development topics. He has been a full-time translator and interpreter since 2008 with his wife Luisa.

The Colorado Interpreters & Translators Association is pleased to introduce the candidates in the election for the 2014-2016 CTA Board. Running for the presidency is Thaïs Maria Lips, who is currently serving as vice president of CTA. Thaïs translates mainly between English < > Portuguese, but also from French and Spanish. She specializes in legal, finance, marketing, literature and social sciences.
